We love meeting new patients, and if you’re getting ready for your first visit to Dr. Lordo’s office, we’d like to say welcome! Switching dental health providers or finding a dentist in a new town can be difficult, but we want to make sure the process is simple, fun, and fits your busy schedule.
No matter your needs or the condition of your smile, Dr. Lordo’s office focuses on making each patient as comfortable as possible. And as you prepare for your first visit, here are a few things to know about our office.
What if I Haven’t Seen a Dentist in a Long Time?
If you’ve avoided the dentist for a while, for whatever reason, don’t worry. Our office is a friendly and judgement-free space.
At Dr. Lordo’s office, we focus on helping each patient onto the path to the best oral health possible; we’re not here to worry about the past. And if general anxiety about dental procedures has kept you away, we provide several sedation dentistry options to help you stay relaxed and calm.
Welcome to the Family!
At our office, our patients are extremely important to us. And whether it’s your very first visit or you’ve been a patient for years, we strive to make each visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
If you’re new in town, we’re glad you chose us! Along with taking care of your dental needs, our staff can fill you in on all the great things Worthington and Columbus have to offer. And if your child is just starting off his or her dental experience in one of our chairs, we’ve worked hard to create an atmosphere that’s fun and encouraging.
What Your First Visit Looks Like
You may be wondering what to expect on your first visit to the office. After we’ve handled some paperwork at the front desk, one of our dental hygienists will give your smile a complete inspection and thorough cleaning. She will gently remove any tartar or plaque that has built up on your teeth, before administering a polish and flossing.
We may also suggest that X-rays be taken, depending on the examination. For first-time patients, we typically like to provide photos of your mouth, so we can take a deeper look into your oral health, and share our findings in an easy-to-understand format.
Shorter, straightforward procedures, like filling a cavity can also be done during the same appointment if necessary.
Preparing For Your Visit
As a new patient, there are several pieces of information we’ll need from you as we get started. You can fill in digital versions of the forms here to save time before your appointment.
For both adults and children, we’ll need some details about your overall health history and contact information. Please bring your insurance card and ID with you on your visit, and if you have any questions, our office staff can help you with the process.
We are currently a participating provider for AETNA PRO, Cigna PRO, Delta Dental Premier, Guardian DentalGuard Preferred Plan, and Guardian DentalGuard Principal Plan.
Fill in our request an appointment form online or call us at 614-885-4754 with any questions. We can’t wait to meet you!
